Northern Lapwing is a plover that can be found from Iceland all the way to Japan. Wren-like Rushbird is found from Peru south to the tip of South America. The chance of either of them showing up in Texas are pretty remote. While Merlin does an impressive job, and I use it quite a lot, you have to be careful with what it tells you.
