A grizzly bear killed a 6-point bull elk in the Yellowstone River just north of Hayden Valley in Yellowstone National Park and dragged it to the shore across the river from the road on Sept. 18, 2020. A park ranger told us this was a once-in-a-century event in the park in which the public could safely observe an adult grizzly bear with its kill. The bear had buried much of the carcass. Sept. 20, 2020.
